Westin Nashville - Part 1
Last year, I had the opportunity to work throughout the year on a photography construction project documenting the behind-the-scenes progress of the new Westin Nashville Hotel. Now opened it is located in the downtown area of Music City.
This project allowed me to put on a hard hat several times a month, navigate to the top floor, and shoot construction photos of the progress on my way down each of the 27 floors. It was one of the most enjoyable jobs I have had the opportunity to work on because of the freedom the client allowed me to have. I had so much fun capturing the personalities of the workers and the progress of the construction.
On my first day of shooting, I wanted to create a personality-driven photo series of the workers in their environment. Part 1 is a collection of a few of my favorite environmental portraits from that day. Part 2 will showcase the interior construction over a 7-month period.
