Westin Nashville - Part 1
Last year I had the opportunity to work throughout the year on a project documenting the construction progress of The Westin Nashville Hotel that recently opened in the downtown area of Music City. The project allowed me to put on a hard hat several times a month, navigate to the top floor and shoot construction photos of the progress on my way down each of the 27 floors. It was one of the most enjoyable jobs I have had the opportunity to work on because of the freedom the client allowed me to have and the ability to capture the personalities of the workers as well as the progress of the construction. My first day of shooting I wanted to capture the personalities of the workers themselves, Part 1 is a collection of a few of my favorite environmental portraits from that day. Part 2 will showcase the interior construction over a 7 month period.
