Nashville Zoo: Expedition Peru...Trek of the Andean Bear Exhibit
I was asked by Michael Torres owner of de la Torre Art Design Studios to work on some photos of the work his company has been involved in creating for the Nashville Zoo.
Michael's company provides scenic art and theme design specializing in creative ideas, fabrication, and quality craftsmanship. Much of this project was to document the build-out of an upcoming bear exhibit space called Expedition Peru: Trek of the Andean Bear.
These photos were taken last year when it was so hot some of the guys were experiencing heat exhaustion from the upper 90-degree excruciating conditions. Despite the circumstances, it was amazing to watch these hard-working craftsmen transform concrete into a natural outdoor environment that mimics nature.
My job was to try and capture them in their element of creativity...and make the details of concrete look sexy, so to speak! These were some of my favorite photos from various visits I had in July.
